Leathernecks Nation MC is a rapidly growing Motorcycle Club started approx. 3 years ago from dissatisfied chapters of another National Organization.

The Maryland chapter’s name, Peleliu, was named from the Marine Corps battle in the Pacific against the Japanese who where heavily fortified within the island chain of Palau. The operation to capture Peleliu was launched on September, 15th 1944 when the 1st Marine Division started their assault on Peleliu’s southwest coast. The fighting by the Marine Corps continued through October with the casualties totaling 1,336 Marines dead or missing and 5,450 wounded. Navy personnel serving with Marine units totaled 61 killed and 249 wounded.

Of the over 11,000 Japanese entrenched on the island, only 202 where captured.

The Marines I have seen around the world;

Have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any animal I have ever seen.

Thank God for the United States Marine Corps! Eleanor Roosevelt
